Qingdao International Cruise Port Area is the historical starting point of Qingdao's urban development and an important base for urban renewal actions.
Recently, Haili successfully won the bid for the facade project of the shipping center in Qingdao International Cruise Port Area. With detailed design of prefabricated components, information modeling technology, and ultra-low energy consumption green solutions,it aims to create a landmark building with ultra-high-rise and low energy consumption, supporting urban renewal and activating new vitality in the city.
The total construction area is approximately 116,000 square meters, with a height of 180 meters, and the project is undertaken by Haili. The facade project of the tower and podium. The appearance is shaped with growing lines throughout the building, coveringfourteen types of facade system solutions including unitized, T-shaped steel, aluminum panels, glass, and cable-stayed facade systems..
The building follows the planning concept of setting up 'wave platforms' along the coastline, forming three levels of setbacks along the coast. Using the concept of a city of a thousand sails, it abstracts the waves into horizontal rippling lines, creating a form of setbacks, sails, and waves, shaping Qingdao's unique marine culture.
Haili applies prefabricated detailed overall shape design solutions, based onthe requirement for the lower area of the tower to gradually tilt outward and the middle area to gradually tilt inward.Using a unitized facade system, it adjusts the entrance and exit relationship between the upper and lower layers to achieve an entrance and exit effect with a protrusion of 100mm and an inward recess of 125mm, realizing the concept of 'wave platforms.'
At the same time, to ensure precise construction of the design concept, Haili pre-assembles the panels, beams, columns, and other components required for the unitized facade system in the factory.Pre-assembly,and directly hoists and installs them on-site in the form of facade units, reducing dimensional differences caused by on-site assembly, making the installation of the building facade more natural and seamless.
As an important integration corridor connecting the port area and the old city, the shipping center of Qingdao International Cruise Port Area incorporates marine cultural elements into the sail design of the podium, giving the building an elegant and floating appearance, showcasing the unique charm of the city of a thousand sails.
To pursue the ultimate visual effect, Haili's design and R&D center utilizes BIM technology, accurately simulating the dimensions and positions of various components of the sail shape. Each piece of installed aluminum strictly follows the same parameters, ensuring more precise material selection and sampling, which guarantees the harmonious unity and dynamic beauty of the overall design.
In addition, during the processing and manufacturing phase, Haili's own new materials industry adopts strict process standards to supply aluminum panels and other materials required for the project, ensuring a perfect fit with design requirements.
During the on-site installation process, the project team particularly strengthened the meticulous detailing of the junctions of each panel, giving the facade a richer sense of layers and three-dimensionality, while simultaneouslyenhancing the airtightness, wind pressure resistance, and corrosion resistance testing of the ultra-high building, promoting the project with low energy consumption building standards.
Currently, the renovation and construction of Qingdao International Cruise Port Area is accelerating, becoming an important strategic resource for Qingdao City.
In the next step, Haili will continuously enhance its prefabricated design capabilities, improve digital construction levels, and deepen green building solutions to assist the old city in transforming and upgrading, empowering the city to comprehensively create a new high ground for openness.
