Recently, Yang Sen, Secretary of the CPC Shushan District Committee of Hefei, led a delegation to visit Shaohaihui, where they conducted an on-site inspection of Shaohaihui’s smart home industry ecosystem and its strategic layout for emerging industries, and explored potential avenues for cooperation.
Hefei boasts a robust home‑furnishings industry, underpinned by the Yangtze River Delta—a national hub for the sector. At the same time, in recent years, Hefei has leveraged the synergistic advantages of multiple national strategies—such as the Yangtze River Delta integration, the Yangtze Economic Belt, and the Rise of Central China—while capitalizing on its designation as a comprehensive national science center. By vigorously advancing technological innovation and emerging industries, Hefei has unlocked vast potential for innovative development in the home‑furnishings sector.
As a hub of scientific and technological innovation in Hefei, Shushan District is actively cultivating a modern industrial system—“1+2+4+X”—covering areas such as artificial intelligence, environmental technology, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, and advanced materials. For three consecutive years, the district has ranked first among urban districts in Anhui Province in the comprehensive science and technology innovation index.
Shao Hai Hui has been deeply engaged in the smart home sector for many years, committed to building China’s largest smart home industry ecosystem platform. In recent years, in response to the national call to build “high-quality homes,” Shao Hai Hui has leveraged technological innovation to drive industrial transformation, accelerating end-to-end innovation and upgrading across the entire home‑related value chain. At the same time, it has proactively cultivated emerging business segments such as new materials and doors and windows, expanding new growth drivers and supporting the digital and sustainable transformation of diverse industries.
Shaohaihui’s industrial innovation strategy aligns closely with the industrial development priorities of Shushan District.
On the one hand, artificial intelligence is one of the two pillar industries in Shushan District, while Shaohaihui has deepened its expertise in the smart home sector and expanded into the new materials field. With interconnectedness among people, vehicles, and homes as its strategic focus and user pain points as its R&D priority, it provides users with end-to-end solutions for seamless integration across these domains.
In sectors such as new materials, new energy, and intelligent connected vehicles, Shaohaihui and Shushan District also have significant potential for collaboration.
Currently, Shao Hai Hui is leveraging its R&D foundation in the field of new home‑building materials to expand into cutting‑edge material sectors such as magnesium‑aluminum alloys, carbon‑ceramic electrothermal materials, and carbon mineralization. At the same time, it is further broadening the application scope of these new materials, extending their use from the home‑furnishing sector to automotive, 3C electronics, aerospace, and other industries.
In the field of carbon‑ceramic electrothermal materials, Haili Moentropy has joined forces with a team of professors from Fudan University to pioneer original innovations in two‑dimensional carbon‑ceramic electrothermal technology. The jointly developed carbon‑ceramic two‑dimensional electrothermal material is widely applicable across smart home and residential settings, intelligent mobility, digital manufacturing, and the low‑altitude economy. Taking mobility as an example, Haili’s carbon‑ceramic two‑dimensional electrothermal material can be integrated into automotive floor mats, heated car seats, rearview mirror defrosting and demisting systems, and thermal management systems for new‑energy batteries, delivering innovative solutions for whole‑vehicle thermal management.
In the realm of custom home furnishings, Youwu Intelligence leverages 16 core technologies—including smart storage, disinfection and sterilization, mobile cabinet systems, and built-in lighting—alongside six advanced smart systems such as an intelligent temperature-control system and a disinfection‑and‑sterilization system. Building on the existing storage and organization capabilities of its products—such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, entryway cabinets, shoe cabinets, and bedside tables—Youwu has introduced smart home solutions featuring cutting-edge technologies like cabinet sterilization, in‑cabinet air purification, voice control, and intelligent height‑adjustment mechanisms. To date, the company holds 868 patents and has enabled functions such as wardrobe air purification, mite removal from clothing, cabinet dehumidification, shoe‑cabinet odor elimination, remote operation, and voice control, thereby driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional home‑furnishing products toward customization and intelligence.
Beyond the whole‑home customization scenario, Haili Doors & Windows has introduced its Smart Window, which features all‑weather wind and rain sensing. In the event of severe storms, the window’s built-in sensors proactively detect adverse conditions, providing comprehensive protection for home safety. Integrated with the Haier Smart Home ecosystem, it can seamlessly link with other smart devices—such as air conditioners and fresh‑air systems—to automatically adjust the window’s status based on indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. With advanced features like intelligent light‑adjustment, energy‑saving design, and quiet operation, the Smart Window delivers a fully immersive, scenario‑based smart interaction system. Simply say “Xiao You, Xiao You,” and you can effortlessly control all of the window’s functions.
As regions across the country actively cultivate new‑type productivity and the home‑furnishings industry continues to innovate and advance, Shaohaihui will be guided by both model innovation and technological breakthroughs, staying in sync with urban development, boosting local industrial growth, and working hand in hand to expand the smart‑home industry cluster, thereby achieving win‑win outcomes through innovation.
